A monday morning in spring

She is my teacher.

A reminder, on a busy Monday morning. “Let’s read a book in the ray of sunlight near our new plants.” What a fine idea! She settles in, I bring the book and blanket. Then I join her and we read together. Slow. Precious. Fully in the moment.

I have so much to learn. Thank goodness I have a patient, loving, and enthusiastic teacher. If only I would remember to listen more often. Something to work on. Meanwhile, we have a garden to plant!
